On Tuesday morning around 11.25 a.m. the Florida Highway Patrol was alerted to the scene of a motorcycle accident just north of State Road 46 near Celery Avenue and State Road 415.
Florida Highway Patrol stated that two motorcyclists were heading southbound on State Road 415 when a large spool of wire came free from a truck traveling northbound on the road. The two motorcyclists were ejected from the bike that also caught on fire. Both of the people traveling on the motorcycle were declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck did not stop for the accident, but returned to the scene over two hours after it happened. Charges may be pending against the truck driver after the investigation has been completed.
